Wendy led a series of video workshops with international art students at Bellerbys College Brighton. Her goal was to help the students create their own promotional videos in order to inform and promote JUST ONE TREE fundraising day, along with their “Wear something green” day. These events also served as an educational platform about climate change and fast fashion
The video workshops were structured in such a way to give the students creative control over their videos and they were encouraged to think of visual ways to effectively convey the powerful messages of both campaigns.
Wendy was delighted to see how the students responded to these issues and embraced the challenge. The promotional videos they created were a fantastic way to educate, develop and share knowledge about the importance of reducing their carbon footprint and becoming more conscious of their individual impact.
The project also helped the students to understand that media can be a powerful tool for conveying messages and getting the message out there to support initiatives such as JUST ONE TREE.
