Luna Arts is a new Brighton-based arts and wellbeing organisation

Luna Arts designs and delivers art workshops that promote well-being, including encouraging conversations on challenging topics to support mental health. We collaborate with organisations and charities to offer participants opportunities to express themselves through various creative media, encouraging essential skills like self-esteem, motivation, and confidence, as well as creating space for open dialogue around challenging subjects.

In February 2025, Luna Arts was awarded a one-year Arts Council project grant to research contemporary beliefs, attitudes, and rituals surrounding funerals, life ceremonies, and memorialisation. The project will involve developing and piloting workshops that use creative expression to facilitate challenging conversations about mortality and legacy, helping participants process emotions and articulate thoughts on death and dying – watch this space!

“ Art is the greatest asset to mental health I have; it has this amazing ability to go under the radar and it goes down little pathways which are un-trodden and yet it’s still a very legitimate way of thinking and feeling and getting on with your life. ”

“ I make art when I can’t gather the words to say. ”
